YOUTH ACTIVITIES / MINISTRIES
Awana Club
Awana stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed. WBC's Club includes Cubbies (ages 3-4), Sparks (K-2nd), and the Truth & Training (3rd-6th) groups.
Awana meets every Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. from September through April. The Awards Dinner is held the first Sunday evening in May.
M & M Club
A "missions and ministry" group for girls in third grade through high school. They meet once a month, generally on Saturday afternoon, to make or prepare items to be used in other ministries. These ministries have included Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes, necessary items for a women's shelter, and items sent overseas to missionaries.
Sunday School
Sunday School classes are open for 2-year olds through high school ages at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday. Beginning in junior high, the girls and boys are divided and the girls are taught by a woman and the boys by a man. Each fall WBC hosts a Sunday School picnic for the entire chapel.
Vacation Bible School
One week each summer (in June or July), WBC hosts a free Vacation Bible School for all children going into kindergarten through sixth grade. WBC is blessed to have a talented group of individuals at the chapel who decide on a theme for the week and plan games and crafts to correlate with that theme. A speaker brings messages that also incorporate the theme.
Young Adults
This is the youth group for high school ages. They meet every other week on Saturday evenings, taking a break during the summer due to so many away at camp, on vacation, etc.
